Campania – Italy
Once a silk production dynasty, the Alois' family pursuits expanded with the planting of vines in 1992 by Michele Alois. Now a well established winery in Campania, Alois uses organic principles and low yields to create high quality examples of ancient and forgotten varieties such as Casavecchia and Pallagrello.
XVI - XXI : Bringing the ancient family notoriety into wine
In the early 1990s founder Michele Alois, after a career in the textile industry, created the winery and since then has been one of the main figures behind the resurgence of indigenous grapes such as Pallagrello Bianco, Pallagrello Nero and Casavecchia. Today Massimo, son of Michele, manages with passion the winery, and makes Alois wines well known around the world..
